Genuine talent can’t be duplicated. It can’t be taught, bought or transferred. But its benefits come with unimaginable price tags. Raw Voyces, male R&B duo, brings a new flavor to the music scene. Their old-school flow, coupled with a new-school twist, takes audiences back to the days when music didn’t just sound good—it felt good. Back to a time where music healed hearts, mended marriages and spoke directly to the souls of men and women worldwide. Since their debut in 2006, Michael “Mike J” Jeffers and Reginald “Dbl Ex L” Franklin II transform two voices into one band, one sound, which leaves audiences captivated from the first note to the final number. Their debut album, Welcome to My Room, released in the summer of 2009 and gave R&B lovers worldwide renewed faith and hope in a genre which seems to have lost its roots and distinctive flavor over time. In 2010, Raw Voyces’ single releases My Ex Girl and Beautiful catapulted the duo to both a national and international stage. From New York, California, Indiana, Atlanta, Chicago, and Florida to the hot spots of Canada, this masculine tag team has toured with many of the industry’s greats. In addition to performing at such venues as Andiamo's Celebrity Showroom, the Indiana Black Expo, Comerica City Fest and Hard Rock Café Detroit, Raw Voyces has also sponsored numerous events. In addition to the Durty Vizion Entertainment Breast Cancer Awareness Ball, Raw Voyces has hosted Sex and the City: A Ladies Night Out Concert Edition which featured celebrity host comedian CoCo, actress and comedian Kym Whitley, and actor Christina Keyes in 2012 and 2013. From Baker’s Keyboard Lounge in Detroit to Jamie Foxx’s Foxxhole in LA, fans can find Raw Voyces performing year-round throughout the Midwest and beyond. Coventry Cares, a trailblazer in healthcare, books the duo annually for their event on The Diamond Jack Boat ride. They’ve had the honor to grace the stage with industry icons such as The Dramatics, Kym Whitley, Royce Reed, Chanita Foster, Reginald “Bruh Man” Ballard, and Hope Flood to name a few. In 2013, Raw Voyces performed with R&B artist Tank in Indiana and their soulful sounds were featured nationwide on the hit show Raising Whitley on The OWN Network. This is more than entertainment. Raw Voyces delivers an experience--one to remember. The heart and soul of R&B is not dead. It’s just getting started.
